Cody Michael's Bio

Cody Michael serves with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for about two years. He began his journey through the Code Three Jiu-Jitsu program, learning alongside fellow deputies and building a foundation rooted in real-world application and officer safety.

Early on, Cody recognized how valuable Jiu-Jitsu is in law enforcement. What started as a practical skill quickly turned into a passion. As he stepped into competition, he discovered he loved the sport side of Jiu-Jitsu just as much as the tactical benefits, pushing him to train more consistently and refine his game.

Recently, Cody expanded his training by joining Synergy Jiu-Jitsu, where he continues to grow his skills and challenge himself on the mats. Jiu-Jitsu has become a major part of his life, shaping both his mindset and his approach to personal development.

Looking ahead, Cody is excited to keep progressing in the art and hopes to eventually share the experience with his kids, passing on the discipline, confidence, and resilience that Jiu-Jitsu has given him.
